Wise Attention and the Four Pathways to Success

Everything we do in life arises from how and where we place our attention. Training in Wise Attention is an ongoing practice of refining our awareness. We begin to notice and see through our patterns of attachment and aversion. By arousing a quality of genuine interest in our experience we learn to live more and more with a “beginner’s mind,” opening to life’s unfolding with greater clarity and ease. At the same time, the world asks us to participate in the ongoing work of healing and service to the wider community. The Iddhipada or Four Pathways to Success is a template that shows us how we might harness the energy of our deepest aspirations, apply consistent effort to what we believe in, while being guided by a clear intention and the discriminating wisdom that keeps us in balance.

The day will include periods of sitting and walking meditation.

Beginners and experienced meditators alike are welcome.
